I'm About To Go Crazy!

I really pity myself right now. Feels like I'm about to go crazy. Baby has been crying since last night and seems like I can't tolerate it much longer. I don't know what's got into him that he just want to cry all the time. I know that he had gas last night but I don't think that's what's making him cry. It could be his gum hurting. I really don't know what to do.

I hate to complain about my baby but I am just about to lose it. I've heard it all day and the more you tell him not to do it, the more he'll do it! Right now, he is asleep but it won't be long until he'll wake up. I just want to have a good rest tonight. I'm hoping he'll sleep all through the night! Crossing my fingers!

A Horrible Day Yesterday!

Yesterday was just a long and agonizing day for all of us! Not only that we had to put up of our little one's temper tantrum but we were worried to death of our oldest son. He was throwing up all day yesterday. I don't know if he ate something bad or caught something like a stomach bug. He wasn't running any fever and his stomach wasn't really hurting he said, just a little queasy! He at least threw up about 10 times or more since he got up that morning.

Thankfully, after resting enough he was feeling better by supper time and was able to hold his food without throwing up! Thank God he's completely better now! I was praying really hard yesterday that he'll feel better soon! I really hate seeing any of my kids suffering like that!

Anyhow, today seems like it's gonna be a much better day. The sun is even shining outside. My oldest son is really excited because his sissy is coming tonight from Florida to spend Christmas with us. He has been looking forward to seeing her again!

Anyway, hope you guys will have a wonderful Christmas season! Three more days and we will be celebrating Jesus birthday. So I wanna go ahead and greet you all in advance "Merry Christmas and a Happy new Year!"

Dressy And Casual Looks

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of No nonsense. All opinions are 100% mine.

Being a mom of two boys can sometimes be very stressing and time-consuming at times. If I have to go out somewhere, I have to tag them along with me especially my one year old since he is still breastfeeding. Sometimes I just do not have the time to fool around with myself, so a casual look is mostly what you will see me wearing because it so much faster than having to dress up. But there are times that I'd like to look good and want to dress up.

Pictures above were taken in two separate occasions. Comparing the first pic to the second pic, I had on a more dressy style outfit, while the second picture is just very casual. To complete those outfits, I wore the No nonsense tights and leggings. It is very conveniet for me to wear the leggings since it looks like a denim, I can pretty much wear it with anything. While the tights is perfect to wear with dress and not having to sacrifice being cold! What I love about this brand No nonsense is, it is so easy to find. You can get it at any drug or grocery stores as well as any retail stores. They are also very affordable and comes in different colors!

If you want to be updated with them, you can like the No nonsense on Facebook or follow them on twitter at https://twitter.com/benononsense. And in case that you didn't know, No nonsense is partnering with Jill Martine. She is a mogul when it comes to fashion! You can check out her video below and see what she thinks about the No nonsense tights and leggings...

I Knew It Wouldn't Be Easy

Me and my husband talked about weaning off my son when he starts getting teeth. But we didn't expect that he won't get teeth until he's over a year old. My first born got his first two teeth when he was just about 6 months old, so we kinda expected that it will be the same with the second one but we were wrong. Till this day, he's 1 year and one month old and he is still breastfeeding. I knew that it wouldn't be easy weaning him off the way he is wanting to breastfeed all the time. But I haven't been giving it to him that much.

I only nurse him during at night time now. He wakes up about 2 to 3 times and I just don't feel like getting up in the middle of the night to get him something to eat or give him bottle. Which by the way I already tried and he didn't anything else except the ninny! So it is so much easier for everybody to let him have it during the night time but I am gonna have to work harder to get him off of it. I don't have any plan whatsoever on breastfeeding until he's 3 years old!

Missed Two Days Of School

My first grader missed two days of school because he caught something. Not sure if it's flue but it started out of 101+ degree fever the other night. The school already warned parents through phone calls that if any child is sick that he or she should remain home and rest until he/she recovers. I really hate that he missed two days of school but at the same time I sure don't want to jeopardize anybody in his class and cause them to get sick!

Anyway, he's feeling so much better now, no fever as far as I know, so hopefully by Monday he'll be back to normal. I am sure he'll be able to catch up whatever school work he missed during those two days he was out. I have a very smart son and I believe that he won't have hard time catching up! :)

Finally Receiving Opps Again!

I was just so thrilled when I read my email earlier and saw that 3 of my blogs including this one received an opps. It has been a while since this blog received any opps or tasks since I changed the domain name and the platform. This blog used to be on wordpress and had to transfer it to blogspot because wordpress wouldn't allow any paid post if you're on a free domain. So didn't really have much choice but to transfer it!

Well anyway, now I am just happy that it is receiving opps again! Hopefully this blog will be back in blogging business again because I depend on my blogs to bring in extra cash a month! And it will be a big help if all of my blogs are receiving opps or tasks!

A Successful Award Ceremony!

I am so very proud of my son for getting so many awards from last night's Cub Scout's Award Ceremony. I did not think, he'll be getting that much for the fact that he just started about 2 months ago. But even if he didn't get any I would still be very proud of him. He is doing such a wonderful job participating in the Cub Scout. That was such a very good decision in our part to let him join.

And of course I have to give credits to my mother-in-law for taking him to every meeting and activities that they had. I only been to two of their activities, it's because I just can't deal having to drag my youngest son too. It's not easy to do it and I couldn't just leave him home with his daddy for some personal reasons.

Anyway, I am just so glad that I was there last night to witness the ceremony and see my son received his awards. I was a one proud mama last night and still very proud of him. I made sure I told him that how pleased I was of him! So lucky to have a wonderful son like him!

He's Finally Teething!

Finally my youngest son is teething now! I have been waiting for this moment to come. I was very worried why it was taking so long for him to get a tooth. My oldest son started teething when he was just about 6 months old and my youngest son is over a year old already and I haven't seen any signs of tooth coming out until the other day!

Anyhow, I am really glad about it and so far he's not feeling bad, still acting the same but I am pretty sure it's hurting bad! But seems like he's handling it good which is good for me! LOL!

Winter Musical Performance

My first grader had a Winter Musical Performance at their school gym last Tuesday. I am so happy that I went because it was such an awesome performance by the elementary students. They sang some Christmas songs and had dance numbers. These elementary students were so cute all in red and green and wearing santa and elf hats. Anyhow, below are some of the pictures that I took on the said event..
Here is one of the dance numbers, the school principal as you can see in the picture with the antlers on and red nose was also participating!

A quick pose of my first grader after the event..

and of course the night wouldn't be complete without taking picture with my boys!

Not Happy Of The Personalized Photo Christmas Cards

I always like to make personalized photo Christmas cards to send out to friends and family every Christmas and this year's card I am not happy at all. Well, it's not anybody else's fault but mine alone. I ordered our photo Christmas cards at Shutterfly online this time. Last year I ordered it at Walmart.

Anyway, it wasn't the site's fault. I picked out a plain collage Christmas card and didn't even think of how small the card is and I put about 12 photos in it. So when it came, it was really a big disappointment for me because it doesn't even look like Christmas cards. It looks just like a regular photo collage and a text greetings on the bottom which by the way is way too small! Even my husband didn't like it either but nothing we can do about it now. I am still gonna send it to my friends and family as greeting cards for I paid a lot money for it. Next time I'll just have to be careful!

Busy, Busy Month!

Well hello December and bye-bye November! Unbelievable! Can you guys believe that this year is almost over? We are now in the last month of this year, it seems like it was just yesterday when everybody was so anxious of the year 2012 and look at us now about to face the new year 2013 in about a month!

But of course, we have to face Christmas first and I am pretty sure everybody is excited about it especially the kids! I know my 6-year old is! So I started Christmas shopping early and as what I've stated on my previous post that I am almost done with my Christmas shopping! Good thing because this month is gonna be very busy for us or should I say ME! Aside from preparing for the upcoming Christmas, I am also having to deal with my son's school activities as well as his Cub Scout activities.

Next week alone, my son will be having some kind of Winter Music Fest at their school and some gingerbread making activity on the 7th. I am really excited about it but it's like I won't be able to keep with all these activities but I am gonna have to for the sake of my child! Hehe! Actually I'm excited for all of these events!

Can't Do Anything When He's Awake

It is truly irritating sometimes when there are so many chores to do around the house but can't do any of it because someone is preventing you from doing it. I am talking about my little one. When he's awake there's not a whole I can do around. He is now in the stage where he will get into everything, I mean literally everything! So I have to keep an eye on him at all times.

And then when he'll finally go to sleep, he wouldn't stay asleep for a long period of time, probably about 30 minutes at the most. I'll be lucky if he'll go to sleep for an hour! I hope he'll go to sleep soon so I can start my chores, this day is almost gone and I sure would hate for it to be over without anything done!

Our Christmas Tree Is Up

It may be a little too early to have the Christmas tree up but everybody else is doing it. Heck, even the stores are already selling Christmas stuff before Halloween was even here. So I am just like everybody else who's excited for Christmas! LOL! Well actually I am doing this for my boys. Even if I didn't feel like getting the Christmas tree from our messy storage, I just had to d it for my boys. My oldest son always looks forward of having a Christmas tree. I guess it makes him excited everyday knowing that toy day is fast approaching. And my youngest son who just turned a year old a week ago hasn't really seen the Christmas tree because he was just over a month old when he celebrated his first Christmas.

And I tell you what, after I got done decorating the tree and turned it on, his whole face lit up and that look of curiosity sparked and at the same time look so delighted of what he was seeing because he has never seen it before. That to me was just priceless! And another priceless moment was when my oldest son came home from spending the night at his nana and saw the Christmas tree all lit up and decorated. He told me how beautiful it looks and how beautiful the ornaments are! I was sure happy to hear those words knowing that he appreciated my work! I could not thank GOD enough for these two beautiful boys that he blessed me! They will always be my Christmas presents!

This is probably a little late to greet everybody a Happy Thanksgiving but as the saying goes it's better late than never! So for that, HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO EVERYONE! I HOPE YOU ALL HAD THE MOST MEMORABLE THANKSGIVING YET! I am so grateful to our LORD above for giving me the chance to enjoy this day! I have  so many things to be thankful about but I don't have to post it on here. GOD knows exactly what they are!

Thanksgiving Play!

My first grader's class had their first Thanksgiving play today at their school library. I am just so glad that I was there to witness it. Too bad I didn't bring my camera. I wasn't really sure if I was gonna stay to watch the play or not because I had a doctor's appointment too the next hour. But I am so glad that I got to watch it because they all so cute and adorable and I thought they did such an amazing job executing the first Thanksgiving day.

Anyway, I feel really bad that I didn't stay for the feast after the play. I feel really guilty to leave my son their but I was running really late on my appointment. I did explained to him why I couldn't stay and eat with him and he seemed like he understood me. But as I was leaving, I just had that heavy feeling and almost went back. I just hope he enjoyed their Thanksgiving feast!

Happy First Birthday To The Handsomest Little Navy!

My youngest son turned one year old at 10:19 this morning! So it has been a year ago since I have given birth to him. How time flies! I feel so lucky and for sure very grateful to our GREAT LORD ABOVE for giving me this wonderful moment and this chance to enjoy this day and hopefully more and more to come with beautiful and wonderful people in my life! I couldn't ask for anything better and I wouldn't trade it for anything in this world!

Anyhow, the birthday celebration went really well. The celebrant had so much fun although he didn't know what was going on. All he knows was that he was getting all the attention and we were singing, he was opening presents, got to mashed and tasted some cake which were not an everyday occurrence, all he knows that it was so much fun! I am truly grateful that all that hard work that I did these past few days to make his 1st birthday a very memorable one was a success although it wasn't your typical birthday party! The main thing is my son enjoyed every minute of it!

Haven't Done Anything!!

I am just so frustrated right now! The day is almost over, my first grader will be here in less than an hour and I haven't done hardly anything! Been so busy these past few days running errands for my son's first birthday tomorrow and today is my only chance of cleaning the house! I had a full intention last night that after my first born leaves for school to start cleaning right away because there is a lot that needs to be cleaned but what did I do? Went back to bed instead! I don't know what's up but I felt so tired this morning that I just collapsed on the couch right after my oldest son left and of course the little was fighting sleep and didn't want to go back to sleep!

Right now, I am trying so hard to put him to sleep so I can start again. The only thing that I got to do was changed the curtains and washed dishes and there is still tons that needs to be done! I am not so optimistic right now that I'll be able to finish these chores before tomorrow! I guess this feeling of exhaustion is the result of the past days of being so busy running errands. Oh gosh, I hope my little one will take his nap soon!

"Criminal Minds" Is Now One Of My Shows

When I find a tv show that is really interesting I tend to get addicted to it easily. Just like the show "Criminal Minds" on CBS. I have seen the commercial many times and it really never caught my attention until a month ago. I watched one episode one time right after the new season of Survivor and I really liked it.

It is such a very interesting show. Every week they always haves different episode and that's one of the things that I like about this show. Unlike any other shows where one story it will be continued on the next episode. So now I look forward to this show every week!

Busy Preparing His Birthday

So busy this week preparing for my son's 1st birthday. Don't know why though, it's not like we're having some big party with a lot of people attending. It is just us and a few close friends. I am fixing some of our favorite Filipino dishes and that's what have been keeping me busy these days. For the menu it's gonna be, bam-i or stir-fry noodles with veggies in it and a little meat, lumpia or eggrolls, Escabeche or fish in sweet and sour sauce and veggies, sweet and sour meatballs and I am fixing Lechon kawali or pan-fried roast pig but won't be cooked in the pan, instead, it'll be broiled in the oven. Can't wait to taste that, it has been a while since I had some Lechon! Just thinking about of a whole pig roast in an open charcoal for how many hours just makes me drool! I wish I am able to purchase a whole roast pig or lechon but if I can, it will be dang expensive for sure! The lechon kawali is like a mini version of the lechon but cook in a pan but like I said this is gonna be a different version of the lechon kawali.

One of my friends on facebook made a no-fry lechon kawali, she broiled hers until the skin turns brown and crispy and left in the overn in 400 degree heat for how many minutes and it sure looked so dang good!! That's why I want to try it out! Hopefully mine will turn out good! Anyhow, I am almost done buying all the ingredients that I am gonna need for my son's birthday. But I still got a few more things to get such as ordering his cake, get some paper plates, utensils, cups and all of that. I still got to clean the house, get rid off some stuff. I am not just doing this for my son's birthday but for Thanksgiving as well. I want this whole dang house straightened out before his 1st birthday and Thanksgiving and hopefully we can keep it clean until Christmas and New Year!

He's In The Cub Scout Now!

So my first grader is officially in the Cub Scout now! I said officially because he's got uniforms and everything that a Cub Scout would need or required! Thanks to my mother-in-law for being so generous and purchasing the uniforms and all, they weren't cheap I tell you!

Anyhow, his first Cub Scout trip was last night. They went to the Nature Center and was studying about wolves which I thought was very neat. My son said he enjoyed it. I am really glad that we decided to signed him up in the Cub Scout because he can learn so much stuff from this, not to mention the socializing with other kids and other adults because he is really lacking on that. He will learn so much things from it, not only physical but also how to respect and value other things! So I am really looking forward for more activities that they are gonna have in the future!

So Let The Countdown Begin...

This handsome little man in the picture above is about to turn a year old in 10 days! I have mixed feelings about it, happy, sad, excited which I think is perfectly normal for parents to feel. Since I don't have anymore plans to have another one in the future, I am really sad that he has grown so fast but yet happy that he is as normal and handsome as he can be. Every time I look at his baby pictures, it is just amazing to me how much he has grown, even his hair! LOL! When he was born he hardly have any hair and now he has a lot of it now! Oh how much I would miss him being a baby! :(

Anyway, as far as the birthday celebration goes, there is not gonna be a big party or things like that. Just a simple celebration with family and some friends like we usually do. For the menu, I am fixing Filipino dishes. I am thinking of getting him two 1/8 sheets of cakes and I want one of the cakes to be a picture cake. So I am gonna have to take picture of him to print out so I can give it to the deli when I order his cake. I mean I am really excited for him to be turning one but I can't help it to be sad as well. This is just one of those things that are inevitable wether I like it or not!

Fall Festival

So yesterday was my first time to be at my oldest son's annual Fall Festival which was held at their school. Last year when he was just in the kindergarten I didn't go because I was so pregnant with my second child. My mother-in-law took him and said that it was a lot of fun. And I got to see yesterday how fun it truly was for the kid that is. I had a good time just watching the kids enjoyed the inflatables and participating on games that were there. Too bad my son weren't interested on the other games or activities, he was only interested on jumping on the inflatables.

Anyhow, I had some pictures taken which half of them weren't really good. But it doesn't matter, at least I got some decent ones that I can print out later for keepsake. Anyway, pictures below are some that I took from yesterday's event...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO TWO OF MY FAVORITE PEOPLE IN THE WORLD!

So two of my favorite people in the world shares the same birthday and that is my husband and my mother! But since my mother is in the Philippines and they are 12 hours ahead of us, my mother celebrated her birthday first but in the US time, it is today, same as my husband! I already called my mother last night which was morning there. We talked for over 30 minutes and had a great time! I so miss my mother so much and I really don't know for sure when will we be able to go back there to visit them again!

Anyhow, I or we, don't have any special plans for my husband's birthday today except to stay home and have some lasagna for supper and I made him a Key Lime Pie to serve as a cake since I didn't get to order him a cake ahead of time but even if I did, we won't be able to pick it up because there is still a lot of snow laying on the ground. We are stuck inside the house! So we are just gonna have to make the best out of it and hope that my husband will have a wonderful time on his special day!

HAPPY, HAPPY HALLOWEEN BIRTHDAY TO TWO OF MY FAVORITE PEOPLE IN THE WORLD! I LOVE YOU BOTH SO MUCH!!! AND I ALSO WANT TO GREET EVERYBODY A HAPPY HALLOWEEN! TRICK OR TREAT!!!!

New Milestone He Reached Today

It is so funny how kids can learn new things so quickly by just seeing adults do it. So that's why we as adults always got to watch what we do or say in front of the kids because they will do it and repeat it. Anyhow, my youngest son was watching me brushing his big brother's hair this morning and he kinda whine a little bit because he wanted to have the hairbrush, so I gave it to him and told him to brush his hair and rest assured he tried to! It was just too cute the way he was doing it!

Good thing I had my IPod with me for I got take a bunch of pictures of him while he was doing it. Another and new milestone he reached today! So proud of my boy! Anyway, pictures above are some of the ones that I took of him while he was busy brushing his hair!

Not Scared Of About Anything!

Picture above is the most recent picture of my youngest son taken yesterday at Walmart. I am telling you what, there's not much that scares him. I was really surprised that he didn't get scared of the Halloween masks when I showed to him yesterday. I even wore it and was actually trying to scare him but it didn't work. Ahead Of His Class

I am just so proud of my first grader, I really don't know how to put it in words! They had their report card today and I must say that I am just so impressed with his grades! It is showing that he is doing great on everything and he is ahead of his class in reading and math! This really exceed my expectations! Now I kinda feel guilty that I kept jumping his butt in those days that he came with bad behavior. I mean it is already expected that he won't be perfect especially that he's a boy! But I guess that punishments that we did worked because he hasn't been getting in trouble for 3 weeks in a row! Thank goodness!

Anyway, I am just beyond happy of his report card! I wasn't expecting for him to be the smartest student in their class and I am not saying he is but I guess the proof is his report card that he maybe one of the smartest ones in their class? I am just a one PROUD MAMA!!! This really makes me feel so good inside!!!!

First Field Trip This School Year

My son had their first field trip of this school year. They went to a farm in Tennessee. Me and my mother-in-law and my youngest son got to go too but drove in a different car. It was such a nice little trip. I enjoyed the colorful scenery on our way to the farm. The farm itself has a very beautiful view too.

I am pretty sure my son enjoyed it, he said he did. I did too and so did my youngest son. My mother-in-law said she enjoyed it too but she didn't like the long walk part! LOL! Well, it was actually a good exercise for all of us. My arm is still hurting from carrying my youngest son the whole time. I forgot to bring his stroller. But I had fun anyway!

Anyhow, I took so much pictures while we were there. Below are just few of them..

The Handsomest Pirate I Have Ever Seen!

My youngest son looking so cute in his first Halloween costume! He is indeed the handsomest pirate I have ever seen! This pirate Halloween costume that I bought last week came yesterday and I got to try it on him earlier to see how it would look on him. It's a little big but that's good so he can still wear it next year!

I couldn't wait any much longer for the Halloween to come! Hopefully I'll be able to bring both of my kids to the mall to trick or treat! My oldest son already has a costume too that my mother-in-law bought for him and it's a Luigi costume that he specifically requested and of course he look so dang cute in it too!

I believe my son will be walking soon before his 1st birthday next month! He has been standing and balancing by himself but only for a few seconds until he falls. But yesterday when I took him outside, I let him stand all by himself and he stood there for a quit a while without holding onto anything, he fell and then he stood right back up and was trying his best to balance!

My husband took a video and I wanted to upload the video on here but I do not have a copy of it. But anyway, I think it won't be long until he'll be walking. I can't hardly wait for that moment! Well maybe not! He'll be running everywhere! LOL!

Bonding With My Kids!

I had such an amazing time with my kids on Saturday. We went to this local heritage festival in our area where local crafts were being sold as well as local fruits and different foods were available including an authentic Mexican foods!

Anyhow, I took my two boys with me instead of leaving them in the house with my husband. I am really glad that I took them because I got to bond with them and they had an amazing time there. My youngest son is just 10-months old but I knew that he had fun too even though he didn't understand yet what was going on. I let him play and crawl on the dry leaves that were on the ground and rest assured he enjoyed every minute of it!

Anyway, pictures below were taken at the said event, thanks to a friend for taking some of the photos...

Spending The Night With Nana Tonight!

I am so glad my son got purple (excellent) today. I was praying that he'll be good in his class so he'll be able to spend the night with his nana tonight. We told him that if he doesn't get purple (excellent) or green (good), we wouldn't let him spend the night there. As much as we hate to do that to him, we have to punish him for his bad behavior or he will keep doing it. And the best punishment you could give to someone is to keep them from doing what they love most, in my son's case, is to spend the night at his nana's house. I am just beyond happy that we do not have to do that this week!!!!

Beautiful Fall Decor That My Son Made

I so love this handmade Fall Collage decor that my son made in their art class a week ago. I was really surprised when he came home last week holding it. It is truly very cute in person. My son said that they made it in their class and they all got one each. This is a really nice way to encourage the students to be creative and it will also give them confidence.

He's Still Doing Pretty Good!

I am just so thrilled that my son is still on the right track. I am talking about his good behavior in class. He did so well this week except for today, he got orange and of course there was a little note saying that "he's not finishing his work and couldn't keep his hands to his self". I know that kinda sound bad but I am not upset at all. Like I said before, I do not expect him to be perfect all the time it's because nobody is perfect and to think that he is only 6 years old! Even adults can't get things right sometimes! LOL!

Anyway, so when I got home from my errands and my husband told me about the note, I did not really think about it anymore. It was just today! So we let him spend the night at his nana's house tonight. He really deserves it since he was perfect last week plus almost this week as well. And I also got to give him credits for always getting a perfect score on their spelling tests every Friday! He sure is a smart little fellow and I'm a proud MAMA!

All Purples All Week Last Week

I am just a one proud mama! My oldest son has finally proven to us that he can be a good boy in school if he wants to. For the past weeks he has been getting in trouble in his class and I am not liking it at all. We keep begging him before he goes to school to be good and not get in trouble and he'll tell us he'll try and when he comes home, his behavior chart is not showing that he has been good. It is really disappointing just to be honest. It's like he's not hearing us at all. We've punished him by not letting him spend the night at his nana's on Fridays or not letting him go over there after school but it seems like nothing is working!

But then last week, everything changed! He managed to keep in getting purples all week last week! Their behavior chart is color-coded where Purple is the highest you can get, it means Excellent! So I am just really happy that he's finally listening to us and I really appreciate his effort and for trying to be as good as he can be in school. I am sure it is not easy, especially if they are just that young! I mean I do not expect him to be perfect but getting in trouble almost everyday for talking too much in class is not okay either. I expect that he'll get red (first warning) or blue (time away) once in a while but just not everyday! So I really applaud him for showing his excellent behaviors in class last week, hopefully he'll do it this week too!

Starting To Appreciate His Toys!

Finally my youngest son who just turned 10 months old a week ago is starting to appreciate his toys now, meaning he's enjoying playing with them now where before he used to just ignore them. Now he'll spend about about 10 minutes at a time playing with them.

It is so amusing to me how he reacts if one of his toys makes noise or moves or roll. He'll giggle or clap or laugh and chase it all around the house. He is definitely getting big and now can understand the meaning of fun!

Anyhow, pictures above were taken just this afternoon after I took him outside! He loves being outside too. As you can see in the picture, he is still wearing his cute Old Navy shoes that I found at a consignment shop for I think 3 bucks! Best part? It was brand new with tag still attached to it!

Linking this post to MOSAIC MONDAY!

Both Of My Boys Are Sick!

We received a phone call from my oldest son's teacher telling us that my son just suddenly was running a fever of a 102.5! I was really worried about it. She told me that he didn't complain about hurting somewhere or not feeling well, he just felt sleepy! The teacher was wanting to know if we want to come and get him or just wait for the bus to bring him home which would have about an hour but I did not feel like that it was right for us to just sit and wait for the bring him home. It would have been a misery for him! So my husband decided to go to school to pick him up, and of course as expected, my son was crying horribly, they both told me after they got home.

Anyway, while they were still out, I called my husband on hiscellphone and asked how our son was doing and he said that his fever was still going up and that he's gonna take him to the urgent care. So he did and the doctor there said that he may have a Strep Throat. Well, I don't really know anything about Strep Throat but my husband told me that it could be serious and there are some cases that somebody died from it. Yay! Very scary indeed! But thankfully, my son seems like he's getting better after taking some medicines. And then my youngest son, started to feel hot and seemed like was running a fever too. Hubby checked his temperature and was indeed running a fever!

I just don't have any clue why they are both running fevers out of nowhere! Because they were just find when they woke up this morning. I am suspecting that my youngest son's case, he might running a fever because he is teething. I noticed that when he was biting my finger yesterday that his gums were really hard. So I am assuming that is the reason why he is running a fever! Hopefully by tomorrow, both of my boys will feel much better!

He Turned 10 Monts Old!

Happy 10-month old to the one of the handsomest little boy I know and that is my youngest son Gabriel James! The other handsomest boy is my oldest son of course! LOL! Anyway, so it has been 10 months ago since I have given birth to him. It doesn't seem like it to me! Now why is that, as mothers we always feel like it was only yesterday that it happened (giving birth)? But if we look at our kids, they are all seemed so grown up! They sure grow up so fast these days!

Anyhow, one thing I know, I will surely miss my baby. He is not so baby anymore and in about 2 months, he'll be a year old! So I better enjoy him while he's still crawling and not walking yet. Once they start walking it's like, they just magically get so big and tall overnight! And before we'll know it, they'll start going to school!

Weaning Him Off Is Gonna Be Hard

My youngest son is gonna be 10-months old in less than 2 days and he is still breastfeeding. I know that's not unusual but I already plan to wean him off before he turns one year old. I don't think it's gonna be easy to do it though. I don't see any signs that he'll be giving up breastfeeding anytime soon!

Although he's already eating regular food, he is still not satisfied with that. He still wants to breastfeed multiple times a day. So I am pretty sure it's not going to be easy getting him off of it unlike my first born where he just gave it up voluntarily! He only breastfed for 8 months! So good luck to me, hopefully it won't be as hard as I think it will be!

He Is Losing A Lot Of Weight

My husband finally got fed up of feeling so bad due to making poor choices as to what to put in his mouth. He decided to go on a diet two months ago. At first, he was just doing a regular diet like eating salad but he wasn't losing that much weight and then he found this documentary on TV where these guys were in poor health, so much medical problems wrong with them and this one guy was 400 lbs. They decided to go onto this juice diet where the only thing they eat is the juice of the fresh fruit and vegetables. They did it for about 60 days with nothing else to eat and drink except for the juice and water and they did lose so much weight and turned around their heath back to normal! It was truly an amazing documentary.

So anyway, my husband tried it for about a week and he went from 212 lbs down to 204 lbs. And he is not done yet, I can probably say that he is about 99% vegetarian now. He has not eat any meat for about 2 weeks now. He is watching these documentaries on TV about how consuming meat is bad for your health and it is really very worrisome if you hear all the stuff that they are saying about it. But I am not gonna go through all of that. Anyway, my husband continues to lose more weight, probably about a pound a day. Yesterday he weighed 195 lbs and I'm curious to know if he's lose more weight today.

Anyhow, he wants me to follow his footsteps but I am just not ready to give up meat yet. I mean, sure I'd like to lose weight I've been struggling for months and month on how to get rid off these extra pounds but I just don't think I have that much will-power like he does to resist temptations. But I am truly proud of my husband for choosing this much healthier lifestyle, he could have just easily said to "hell with it, I'm eating this big ass burger" like everybody else! LOL! But he's very serious this time and you can definitely see the result!

He Has No Fear

Pictures above is an everyday occurrence in our household since my youngest son learned how to climb on the couch! The minute I put him down on the floor, he'll immediately head onto the couch and climb and does what you see in the pictures above! I don't think he does it because he doesn't realized how much it would hurt if he falls but he's doing it because he's not scared! He had fallen before from the couch and he remembered it because he would not try to get down anymore instead he'll just wait there until somebody will get him down.

Anyway, although I am used of seeing him do these things, I still get nervous sometimes and just try to keep an eye on him. Accidents are just waiting to happen and I sure don't want my youngest son to break any of his limbs if he falls! It would be a big disgrace GOD forbid!

He's Starting To Get Back On Track!

I am just beyond happy that my first grader seems like to get back on track. Three days in a row, he got green color on his behavior chart that means he was being good in school. Thank goodness he's finally listening to us, I hope this is for good now. I mean I don't expect for him to be perfect every time but doing it almost everyday is not okay with me at all! So I am really proud of him for being so good and for listening to us finally...

Going Back And Forth...

I can see that my son is really struggling keeping a good behavior in class. Yesterday he came home again with red (warning) and underneath it says "talking". I was disappointed but did not really get upset because I realized that he just couldn't help it and he is only 6 years old and a boy! Boys tends to get more in trouble than girls. Anyway, I must admit that he is really a big talker and I think I have a very good idea where he gets that from! We also have hard time at home to keep him quiet for just a few minutes. He sure loves to talk just like his nana! I just wish that he could use it as an advantage instead of getting his self in trouble but like I said he couldn't help it..

Anyhow, when he came home today, he was so thrilled and very excited, before he can even get in the house, he was yelling outside that he got green (good). I was thrilled too and I told him that I was very proud of him for being good in school. So he is really going back and forth with his behavior in school, so I guess tomorrow I should expect that he'll get either red or blue? I really hope not!

He's A Good Reader

I am just so pleased that my first grader can read very well. I started teaching him when he was just about 3 years old! He can pretty much a read 30-page book all by himself! I mean it takes him a while and he doesn't know how to use the expressions in the sentence yet but I am working on teaching him that, that should be an easy part.

Anyway, I am glad that his teacher assigns them to bring different books with them to read at home. It really helps the students to get better in reading. And also they do this spelling test every Friday and the teacher let the students bring a piece of paper with words written on it to be studied at home for the spelling test on Fridays! I thought it is very neat for her to do that. It gives the students plenty of time to study the words.

So far, my son perfected all the spelling tests they had and I am very proud of him for that. He is really a very fast learner. If we can just keep him from getting in trouble by talking too much and he'll be alright!

So Pleased And Proud Of Him

I am just so tickled when my son came home with his behavior paper in purple! Yeyyy he finally listened to us! I am just hoping that he will keep it up like that and won't get in trouble in school anymore! He was so proud and happy showing it to us and he should be! He did great! So for his reward, we let him go to his nana's house early!

They only had half day of school today, so he came home about 12 noon. The school was only until 11:30 but since it takes about 30 minutes for the bus to arrive, it took about 12 noon for him to come home!

Anyway, I'm getting 3 days of break from waking up very early (well except Sunday since we have to go to church and get ready early) in observance of Labor Day which is on Monday. At least I do not have to get up at 6 am that day which means I can sleep longer than usual!

Acting Like A Bully In School

I don't know what is going on with my first grader but evidently he is getting so mean in school and acting like a bully. That is just a big NO NO to me and my husband! When he came yesterday, I looked at his behavior paper and was so disappointed to see that it was in color blue! Blue means note home and time away. Sure enough the note was written on the same paper and it said that he was blowing bubbles in the bathroom, trying to pull off the soap dispenser off the wall and wiping ketchup at his schoolmate in the cafeteria!

My mouth just dropped open when I read all of that. I really couldn't believe what I was reading and speechless for a few moments. So I confronted my son why he was acting like that in school and of course he tried to deny everything and I jumped his butt for trying to lie! This is just not happening! My sweet little boy is acting so mean! It is truly disappointing! I thought for sure that little punishment he had last week would straighten him out. Well it did for one day!

Well anyway, so because of that, we did not let him go to his nana's house, he usually goes over there to play a little and help her feed the dogs. It broke his little heart, he was crying his eyes out and it was a heart-breaking for me too! I hated to punish him like that but you have to do what you have to do. So I told him this morning while taking him to the bus stop to do his best to behave in school and that he needs to remember that if acts like that again, he will get another punishment! He promised me that he will get purple(excellent) today. I have faith in him and I will see if he is being a good boy in school when he gets home!

Baby Gate Is Up!

I finally remembered to buy a baby gate at Walmart earlier today. I couldn't keep my 9-month old from going to the kitchen so I really needed to get it soon. He was not so happy at that baby gate blocking his way to the kitchen. But he can still squeeze his self either under the table or crawl between the dining chair's legs!

So that's less thing for me to worry about. Now if I can find something to keep him from climbing on the couch. I don't think there is anything that could keep him away from climbing. He likes to push the buttons on our phone and if he couldn't reach it, he'll climb on the couch and cross the little gap of the couch and side table where the phone is just to push the buttons. It is really a scary sight to me. He just doesn't realize how much it will hurt if he falls! Anyway, below is a picture of him I took this morning when he was doing his usual routine!
