Today's Flower #2: Almost Black Tulip

I bought this Tulip at Lowe's a year ago. What caught my attention was its name "Black Queen Tulips" as I recall. So I bought it, I needed more Tulips in my garden anyway. As you can see in the picture the color is purple but in very, very dark shade that it actually look like black from far away. I only see one blooming in my garden right now so far. For some reason, this year, my flowers are not growing normally, maybe they need some fertilizing or something. But I am planning on digging on my Tulips some time when they're season is over and replant it somewhere else where the dirt is richer than where they are in now. Hopefully by next year they'll grow bigger and give me more beautiful flowers!

Mommy Moments #2: My Son's Fieldtrip (Treasured Moments)

Last Friday was such an enjoyable day for me and for my 5-year old son. He had a fieldtrip in the movie theater to watch the movie "Dr. Seuss' The Lorax". It was just the perfect movie for kindergarteners and even for adults. Me and my mother-in-law were his chaperones so we got to enjoy the movie as well. It was really entertaining, a perfect movie to watch as a family for adults will enjoy it too.

Anyway, after the movie, they loaded up the children to a lake-side park to eat lunch and to play later. We drove their too so we could eat lunch with the kids. Unfortunately it had been raining that day, the park was wet so they decided to move to a different lake-side park after lunch. The second lake was just perfect. It has an amazing view, lots and lots of colors from the blooming trees. I enjoyed it a lot there but most of all I enjoyed watching my son having such a wonderful time playing with friends in the park. Below are few of the pics that me and my son took....Last Friday would be one of those days that I will look back and will put a smile on my face remembering how fun it was to spend and watch my son enjoying his childhood days...

you can see on his face how much he's enjoying...

my son took this pic of me, my youngest son and mother-in-law...

Scarlet Wednesday #1: Red Tulip

I am just so thrilled that I am one of the first ones to join the first launching of Scarlet Wednesday today. So for my first entry, I am sharing  a photo of my red Tulip that happened to be blooming in my garden right now. Tulip is one of my favorite flowers. I have so many Tulips planted in my garden in different colors! So far, I've only seen the red Tulips to be blooming. I can't wait for the rest to come out...

Mosaic Monday #2: Hubby's Easter Cactus and My Hyacinths!

My mother-in-law bought my hubby this Easter Cactus  a week ago which is pictured in the right side. That was my first time to see or ever heard of Easter Cactus. I know about Christmas Cactus, hubby has 3 of those in the house which I thought are beautiful! This Easter cactus has similar leaves as the Christmas Cactus and there is a similarity on the bloom too but not quite the same, I just couldn't pinpoint it! I think the Easter Cactus flower's opens up more than the Christmas Cactus, that's just one of the similarities.

Anyhow, I am really surprised to see another Hyacinths blooming in my garden right now. I thought all my Hyacinths bloomed already, evidently not. There are two of them that are blooming right now, I don't see anymore of the peach color though. I guess I won't be seeing them again until next year. They didn't really develop well this year, they were shorter than normal. And even these two that are blooming right now, they just look so different. It must have something to do with the weird weather we've been having. Oh well, I still love them though!

Mommy Moments #1: (Treasured Moments) Bonding with my youngest son!

This is my first time joining Mommy Moments.  For this first entry I am sharing these photos of me and my youngest son taken over a week ago by my 5 year old son. We were enjoying the lovely and warmer weather outside that week. I am just happy that spring has finally come but not really looking forward for this coming summer. I know it's gonna be another scorching hot weather like last year or maybe worst. The weather has been so really weird lately. Anyway, I thought my son did a wonderful job taking these pictures considering he's only 5 years old and how heavy my dslr camera is!

Treasured Moments: All Star Awardee!

Last Friday was one of the proudest days of  my 25 years of existence. The reason? My 5-year old son received an All Star Award in their class. Talking about being so proud! I know this may not sound much to other people but it means so much to us especially me because I started educating him at a very young age and I feel like I had a little something to do with his achievement. Words just couldn't explain how I felt that day watching him walking towards his teacher to receive his award. I am so happy that I witnessed it and recorded the memory by taking pictures which I am sharing below...

Forgot All About It...

I could not believe that I have forgotten all about this blog. I remembered signing for Wordpress last year but didn't remember making a blog here. So here I am updating this. Since this blog is titled "My Life's Treasured Moments", the postings on here will be mostly about the things that are so important to me like my family that I cherished most! Hopefully I'll be able to update this blog more often and I won't forget it like I did before...
