So Pleased And Proud Of Him

I am just so tickled when my son came home with his behavior paper in purple! Yeyyy he finally listened to us! I am just hoping that he will keep it up like that and won't get in trouble in school anymore! He was so proud and happy showing it to us and he should be! He did great! So for his reward, we let him go to his nana's house early!

They only had half day of school today, so he came home about 12 noon. The school was only until 11:30 but since it takes about 30 minutes for the bus to arrive, it took about 12 noon for him to come home!

Anyway, I'm getting 3 days of break from waking up very early (well except Sunday since we have to go to church and get ready early) in observance of Labor Day which is on Monday. At least I do not have to get up at 6 am that day which means I can sleep longer than usual!

Acting Like A Bully In School

I don't know what is going on with my first grader but evidently he is getting so mean in school and acting like a bully. That is just a big NO NO to me and my husband! When he came yesterday, I looked at his behavior paper and was so disappointed to see that it was in color blue! Blue means note home and time away. Sure enough the note was written on the same paper and it said that he was blowing bubbles in the bathroom, trying to pull off the soap dispenser off the wall and wiping ketchup at his schoolmate in the cafeteria!

My mouth just dropped open when I read all of that. I really couldn't believe what I was reading and speechless for a few moments. So I confronted my son why he was acting like that in school and of course he tried to deny everything and I jumped his butt for trying to lie! This is just not happening! My sweet little boy is acting so mean! It is truly disappointing! I thought for sure that little punishment he had last week would straighten him out. Well it did for one day!

Well anyway, so because of that, we did not let him go to his nana's house, he usually goes over there to play a little and help her feed the dogs. It broke his little heart, he was crying his eyes out and it was a heart-breaking for me too! I hated to punish him like that but you have to do what you have to do. So I told him this morning while taking him to the bus stop to do his best to behave in school and that he needs to remember that if acts like that again, he will get another punishment! He promised me that he will get purple(excellent) today. I have faith in him and I will see if he is being a good boy in school when he gets home!

Baby Gate Is Up!

I finally remembered to buy a baby gate at Walmart earlier today. I couldn't keep my 9-month old from going to the kitchen so I really needed to get it soon. He was not so happy at that baby gate blocking his way to the kitchen. But he can still squeeze his self either under the table or crawl between the dining chair's legs!

So that's less thing for me to worry about. Now if I can find something to keep him from climbing on the couch. I don't think there is anything that could keep him away from climbing. He likes to push the buttons on our phone and if he couldn't reach it, he'll climb on the couch and cross the little gap of the couch and side table where the phone is just to push the buttons. It is really a scary sight to me. He just doesn't realize how much it will hurt if he falls! Anyway, below is a picture of him I took this morning when he was doing his usual routine!

I Almost Lost This Blog!

Thank goodness I saved it! I thought for sure it was permanently lost and couldn't be recovered and thankfully I managed to save a back-up of it last night. This blog used to be on wordpress platform. I imported all my posts, comments and everything to blogger, so it is hosted on blogger now!

So I sent a message to wordpress support as to why it had been deactivated and someone got in touched with me and told me that I wasn't allowed to put that specific link that I was writing an entry about last night and asked me if I can remove it. Well I didn't and I deleted my blog there since it is already imported here and I already asked two of my paying blogging sites to change the URL of the wordpress blog. One replied and changed the URL already and the other hasn't.

I do not see any point anymore of continuing it on wordpress since I heard that they don't allow paid post if you are on a free domain. So bye-bye to wordpress! I like Blogger better anyway! But I am thankful to them for letting me have a free domain there! It was fun while it lasted!

He's Back Up To Green

I am so pleased that my son came with his behavior paper marked green (g00d). It means that he was acting decent in class today, thank GOD! I was very worried he would come home with another color red on it again but thank goodness he didn't. So I guess that little punishment that we gave him straightened him out a little bit, hopefully it will last a while. But anyway, I am really glad that he was a good boy at school today!

Talking Too Much In Class

Evidently, my first grader is way talkative in class. For two days in a row, he came home with his behavior paper marked red and underneath it is the word "talking". The teacher sends this paper with them where their behavior for that day is recorded using colors. Purple is excellent, green is good, red is warning, orange is time away, blue is note home and time away and brown is principal's office. So there's no denying that he is talking in class and not minding his teach when she tells him to keep mouth shut...

So for his punishment, we didn't let him spend the night at his nana's house. Every Friday, he spends the night over there and comes home the next morning. But since he got another red yesterday after I told him that morning not to talk anymore or else he won't be able to spend the night at his nana's house. But when he came with another red, we just had to do what we told him we will gonna do if he gets it again.

Hopefully, by not letting him spend at his nana's house, it will teach him a lesson that we as his parents means business. If he don't obey the rules, he will suffer some consequences. We explained it to him numerous times but seems like it's not getting in his head. But anyway, other than talking in class, he's doing very good! His first week of school he got purple! He even perfected two spelling tests that they had a week ago and this week. So I am very proud of him for that!

Handsome, Healthy and Perfect!

Those are the words that my son's pediatrician described him when we went for his 9 month check-up yesterday.  As a mother, you only want to hear those kind of words from somebody especially professionals. That also means that I or we are doing a good job taking care of our kids especially when it comes to their health. Those words are just music to my ears!

We all know that the number one problems that children facing these days is obesity and I sure don't want my kids to have that problem. So me and my husband are trying our best to feed our kids healthy foods as possible and we are seeing the good result based on what the Pediatrician told me yesterday. Not only she said that to my youngest son but also to my older son which is her patient as well!

9-Month Check Up

My youngest son will have his 9-month check-up later today at his pediatrician. I am pretty sure that he is just as healthy as he can be and I know that he has gained weight that last time we were there. He weighed 19 lbs when were there last, he was just about 7 months old. How time flies!

Sometimes he about to drive me crazy with his roaming around in every corner of the house. He gets into everything now too, especially the changers as well as the mouse for our surveillance camera. For some reason he just like to mess with them. He got so many toys that I put in the living so he can play, he will play with for a few minutes and then there he goes heading for the changer or for the mouse. He is sure a handful already, he's not even a year old! But I'm glad anyway that he's very active and I always thank GOD for that!

Happy 9-Month Old Cowboy!

My little cowboy just turned 9 months old today at 10:19 this morning! Isn't he adorable? Sorry I just love my own and that's how it's supposed to be! Pictures were taken just this morning for his monthly keepsake. Love the cowboy boots that he's wearing in the picture. That's one of the things my mother-in-law bought him at the consignment sale that we went to a week ago. It is a little too big for him right now but it won't be long before he'll be able to wear it. I tell you he's growing like a weed! Amazing how baby grow up so fast these days!

We Need Baby Gates

My youngest son is turning 9 months old tomorrow and he can get into everything now. He can literally go into every corner of the house or crawl under everything, no matter how much I block the way where I do not want him to go, he can still find a way! Very smart boy indeed and I'm a very proud mama!

Well anyway, our 16-year old air conditioner is broken so instead of buying a new one, my husband bought a metal industrial fan. He just got it yesterday. I did not have problem letting my youngest son crawling in the living room but now that the fan is sitting there, I am not letting him near that fan. It is just too dangerous! He could stick his finger through the metal frame and he could seriously get hurt bad! The fan is all made out of metal even the propeller and it blows very strong. I don't doubt if somebody sticks their finger in it that it can be cut off! I sure don't want that happening to my youngest son! I already warned my oldest son about not stick his finger in it or else he'll be missing a finger!

So now, we seriously need baby gates. The gates will keep him from going near the fan. I couldn't watch him all the time since I have to do things around the house too. And if I put him in his walker or carry him with me, he'll start crying because he wants to be independent and crawl everywhere! I need to buy that baby gates soon!

Biggest Consignment Sale I Ever Been To!

Yesterday me and my mother-in-law went to this consignment called Wee Trade Kids. It is the biggest consignment shop that I have ever been to. This consignment is a 2 weekend sale event consist of over 1400 families gathered together under one roof! You can only imagine how much stuff were in there! There were so many kids clothing to choose from prices starting at $3. I got so confused as to what kind of clothes I should get for my kids because there were so many of them.

I decided to buy some fall or winter clothing for my little one since it is almost cold-weather time. Picture above are what I bought from the consignment. I got four different outfits, 2 jackets and 2 toys and it cost me almost 40 bucks.  Forty bucks may seem a lot of money but I consider it good deals because if you buy these stuff new I know for sure that it would cost more than that. These stuff that I got are gently used items so almost 40 bucks wasn't really a waste in my opinion!

Anyway, next Saturday they are gonna open again, it will be their last day and this time everything is 50% off! If I knew that they are going to have 50% off of everything we would have gone their next week instead of yesterday. Oh well, still no regrets of what I bought there. Maybe next time, we will go there when they'll have the half off everything!

Permanent Make-Up Solution

I do not use make-up all the time, I would say I only use it once a week. Only when I go to church is the time that I put make-up on. Sometimes I do put some on regular days but only when I feel like it. I am a one busy mom who has two little kids to take care of and putting make-up all the time seems like very time consuming. I am glad that I am one of those people who can go anywhere without make-up. The way I look at it, if anybody don't like to look at my face, they'll just have to turn the other way!

Anyway, for those who likes putting make-up everyday, I am sure that is very tiring but did you know that you can have a permanent makeup done? Yes you could! Just check this site Glow Day Spa to read more information about it! This is not only for regular people who just likes to put makeup just to look good. This also applies to those who are extremely allergic to other traditional cosmetic products as well as those who has disability or illness. ..Please do check the site and read more about it and see the different pricing they have on permanent makeup!

He Can Clap And Dance!

My baby Gabe is turning 9-months old here in a few weeks. I know I've said this before and I'm gonna say it again...it is truly unbelievable how time can fly! That means it has been almost 9-months ago since I have given birth to him. To me, it's just doesn't seem like it! Last night I found a picture of him when he was just a few days old. In almost nine months, he has changed a lot, he doesn't even look like in the picture!

Anyhow, I am so very proud of him for he is able to learn new things quickly. About two weeks ago, I found out that he learned how to dance. If you sing a song to him he'll start moving his half body side by side. And about a week ago, me and my husband taught him how to clap his hands, and he picked it up really quick. Now if you say "clap, clap, clap"...he will put his hands together and starts clapping and with a matching dance move! Ahhh it is truly entertaining to see that he can do all those things! I am just truly grateful that he is perfectly normal and is able to learn new things pretty quick! Thank you LORD!

A Paved Driveway Would Be Nice!

Right now, our driveway is such a mess it's because of the hard rain that we had yesterday. We only have gravels and dirt on our driveway and rest assured when it rains hard it will wash out! Good thing my husband has a bulldozer to fix it whenever it needs it. But it is just very exhausting to think that everytime it rains, he has to do all that hard work and troubles just to fix the driveway so that we won't be like riding a roller coaster when we drive up our driveway. That's how it feels like when our driveway is mess up! It would be nice if we can afford to have our driveway paved!

When we are able to save some money for it, I'll make sure to hire InstallitDirect driveway pavers because they do an amazing job on paving driveways. Just click the link and see for yourself what beautiful job they can do to your driveway. A paved driveway would be nice and I would not hesitate to hire these guys right now if only I had the money. I just feel sorry for my husband because he has to do some hard work to straighten our driveway. Hopefully one day he won't have to worry about it anymore!

So Many Reckless Drivers

This afternoon when we were heading to the grocery store, we almost got hit by another car. It happened approximately about 3 or 4 miles from where we live.  This woman thinks that she own the road and decided to drive in the middle of the road and almost collide to my car. Good thing I managed to steer to the right safely and luckily there wasn't any ditch on the side of the road or we would have been in big trouble!

You do your best to pay attention to everything in order to avoid any accidents but there are people out there that doesn't care at all wether they are paying attention or not or wether they are driving safely or not. What they don't realize is, it's the innocent ones who pays the ultimate price most of the time! Just like the woman that we encountered earlier, she couldn't care less, she didn't even bother to stop! You dang right I was cussing her like a sailor, she deserved every profanity that came out of my mouth for I feared for my 9-month old's life that was with me including my stepdaughter and her boyfriend!

They were truly terrified and so was I! I couldn't thank GOD enough for keeping us safe earlier! I hope and pray that I would never experience that again! LORD please keep us safe always!
