He's Still Doing Pretty Good!

I am just so thrilled that my son is still on the right track. I am talking about his good behavior in class. He did so well this week except for today, he got orange and of course there was a little note saying that "he's not finishing his work and couldn't keep his hands to his self". I know that kinda sound bad but I am not upset at all. Like I said before, I do not expect him to be perfect all the time it's because nobody is perfect and to think that he is only 6 years old! Even adults can't get things right sometimes! LOL!

Anyway, so when I got home from my errands and my husband told me about the note, I did not really think about it anymore. It was just today! So we let him spend the night at his nana's house tonight. He really deserves it since he was perfect last week plus almost this week as well. And I also got to give him credits for always getting a perfect score on their spelling tests every Friday! He sure is a smart little fellow and I'm a proud MAMA!

All Purples All Week Last Week

I am just a one proud mama! My oldest son has finally proven to us that he can be a good boy in school if he wants to. For the past weeks he has been getting in trouble in his class and I am not liking it at all. We keep begging him before he goes to school to be good and not get in trouble and he'll tell us he'll try and when he comes home, his behavior chart is not showing that he has been good. It is really disappointing just to be honest. It's like he's not hearing us at all. We've punished him by not letting him spend the night at his nana's on Fridays or not letting him go over there after school but it seems like nothing is working!

But then last week, everything changed! He managed to keep in getting purples all week last week! Their behavior chart is color-coded where Purple is the highest you can get, it means Excellent! So I am just really happy that he's finally listening to us and I really appreciate his effort and for trying to be as good as he can be in school. I am sure it is not easy, especially if they are just that young! I mean I do not expect him to be perfect but getting in trouble almost everyday for talking too much in class is not okay either. I expect that he'll get red (first warning) or blue (time away) once in a while but just not everyday! So I really applaud him for showing his excellent behaviors in class last week, hopefully he'll do it this week too!

Starting To Appreciate His Toys!

Finally my youngest son who just turned 10 months old a week ago is starting to appreciate his toys now, meaning he's enjoying playing with them now where before he used to just ignore them. Now he'll spend about about 10 minutes at a time playing with them.

It is so amusing to me how he reacts if one of his toys makes noise or moves or roll. He'll giggle or clap or laugh and chase it all around the house. He is definitely getting big and now can understand the meaning of fun!

Anyhow, pictures above were taken just this afternoon after I took him outside! He loves being outside too. As you can see in the picture, he is still wearing his cute Old Navy shoes that I found at a consignment shop for I think 3 bucks! Best part? It was brand new with tag still attached to it!

Both Of My Boys Are Sick!

We received a phone call from my oldest son's teacher telling us that my son just suddenly was running a fever of a 102.5! I was really worried about it. She told me that he didn't complain about hurting somewhere or not feeling well, he just felt sleepy! The teacher was wanting to know if we want to come and get him or just wait for the bus to bring him home which would have about an hour but I did not feel like that it was right for us to just sit and wait for the bring him home. It would have been a misery for him! So my husband decided to go to school to pick him up, and of course as expected, my son was crying horribly, they both told me after they got home.

Anyway, while they were still out, I called my husband on hiscellphone and asked how our son was doing and he said that his fever was still going up and that he's gonna take him to the urgent care. So he did and the doctor there said that he may have a Strep Throat. Well, I don't really know anything about Strep Throat but my husband told me that it could be serious and there are some cases that somebody died from it. Yay! Very scary indeed! But thankfully, my son seems like he's getting better after taking some medicines. And then my youngest son, started to feel hot and seemed like was running a fever too. Hubby checked his temperature and was indeed running a fever!

I just don't have any clue why they are both running fevers out of nowhere! Because they were just find when they woke up this morning. I am suspecting that my youngest son's case, he might running a fever because he is teething. I noticed that when he was biting my finger yesterday that his gums were really hard. So I am assuming that is the reason why he is running a fever! Hopefully by tomorrow, both of my boys will feel much better!

He Turned 10 Monts Old!

Happy 10-month old to the one of the handsomest little boy I know and that is my youngest son Gabriel James! The other handsomest boy is my oldest son of course! LOL! Anyway, so it has been 10 months ago since I have given birth to him. It doesn't seem like it to me! Now why is that, as mothers we always feel like it was only yesterday that it happened (giving birth)? But if we look at our kids, they are all seemed so grown up! They sure grow up so fast these days!

Anyhow, one thing I know, I will surely miss my baby. He is not so baby anymore and in about 2 months, he'll be a year old! So I better enjoy him while he's still crawling and not walking yet. Once they start walking it's like, they just magically get so big and tall overnight! And before we'll know it, they'll start going to school!

Weaning Him Off Is Gonna Be Hard

My youngest son is gonna be 10-months old in less than 2 days and he is still breastfeeding. I know that's not unusual but I already plan to wean him off before he turns one year old. I don't think it's gonna be easy to do it though. I don't see any signs that he'll be giving up breastfeeding anytime soon!

Although he's already eating regular food, he is still not satisfied with that. He still wants to breastfeed multiple times a day. So I am pretty sure it's not going to be easy getting him off of it unlike my first born where he just gave it up voluntarily! He only breastfed for 8 months! So good luck to me, hopefully it won't be as hard as I think it will be!

He Is Losing A Lot Of Weight

My husband finally got fed up of feeling so bad due to making poor choices as to what to put in his mouth. He decided to go on a diet two months ago. At first, he was just doing a regular diet like eating salad but he wasn't losing that much weight and then he found this documentary on TV where these guys were in poor health, so much medical problems wrong with them and this one guy was 400 lbs. They decided to go onto this juice diet where the only thing they eat is the juice of the fresh fruit and vegetables. They did it for about 60 days with nothing else to eat and drink except for the juice and water and they did lose so much weight and turned around their heath back to normal! It was truly an amazing documentary.

So anyway, my husband tried it for about a week and he went from 212 lbs down to 204 lbs. And he is not done yet, I can probably say that he is about 99% vegetarian now. He has not eat any meat for about 2 weeks now. He is watching these documentaries on TV about how consuming meat is bad for your health and it is really very worrisome if you hear all the stuff that they are saying about it. But I am not gonna go through all of that. Anyway, my husband continues to lose more weight, probably about a pound a day. Yesterday he weighed 195 lbs and I'm curious to know if he's lose more weight today.

Anyhow, he wants me to follow his footsteps but I am just not ready to give up meat yet. I mean, sure I'd like to lose weight I've been struggling for months and month on how to get rid off these extra pounds but I just don't think I have that much will-power like he does to resist temptations. But I am truly proud of my husband for choosing this much healthier lifestyle, he could have just easily said to "hell with it, I'm eating this big ass burger" like everybody else! LOL! But he's very serious this time and you can definitely see the result!

He Has No Fear

Pictures above is an everyday occurrence in our household since my youngest son learned how to climb on the couch! The minute I put him down on the floor, he'll immediately head onto the couch and climb and does what you see in the pictures above! I don't think he does it because he doesn't realized how much it would hurt if he falls but he's doing it because he's not scared! He had fallen before from the couch and he remembered it because he would not try to get down anymore instead he'll just wait there until somebody will get him down.

Anyway, although I am used of seeing him do these things, I still get nervous sometimes and just try to keep an eye on him. Accidents are just waiting to happen and I sure don't want my youngest son to break any of his limbs if he falls! It would be a big disgrace GOD forbid!

He's Starting To Get Back On Track!

I am just beyond happy that my first grader seems like to get back on track. Three days in a row, he got green color on his behavior chart that means he was being good in school. Thank goodness he's finally listening to us, I hope this is for good now. I mean I don't expect for him to be perfect every time but doing it almost everyday is not okay with me at all! So I am really proud of him for being so good and for listening to us finally...

Going Back And Forth...

I can see that my son is really struggling keeping a good behavior in class. Yesterday he came home again with red (warning) and underneath it says "talking". I was disappointed but did not really get upset because I realized that he just couldn't help it and he is only 6 years old and a boy! Boys tends to get more in trouble than girls. Anyway, I must admit that he is really a big talker and I think I have a very good idea where he gets that from! We also have hard time at home to keep him quiet for just a few minutes. He sure loves to talk just like his nana! I just wish that he could use it as an advantage instead of getting his self in trouble but like I said he couldn't help it..

Anyhow, when he came home today, he was so thrilled and very excited, before he can even get in the house, he was yelling outside that he got green (good). I was thrilled too and I told him that I was very proud of him for being good in school. So he is really going back and forth with his behavior in school, so I guess tomorrow I should expect that he'll get either red or blue? I really hope not!

He's A Good Reader

I am just so pleased that my first grader can read very well. I started teaching him when he was just about 3 years old! He can pretty much a read 30-page book all by himself! I mean it takes him a while and he doesn't know how to use the expressions in the sentence yet but I am working on teaching him that, that should be an easy part.

Anyway, I am glad that his teacher assigns them to bring different books with them to read at home. It really helps the students to get better in reading. And also they do this spelling test every Friday and the teacher let the students bring a piece of paper with words written on it to be studied at home for the spelling test on Fridays! I thought it is very neat for her to do that. It gives the students plenty of time to study the words.

So far, my son perfected all the spelling tests they had and I am very proud of him for that. He is really a very fast learner. If we can just keep him from getting in trouble by talking too much and he'll be alright!
