What A Beautiful Day It Was!

It was such a beautiful day today. My youngest son really enjoyed the time he spent outside. He was just all over the place and touching every little things he saw. I am really glad that he had so much earlier. He has been so miserable lately. He has some kind of viral infection which gave his little tongue this white looking blister which I think is painful. Since that blister showed up a while ago, he has not been eating good lately. Good thing he is still breastfeeding because that's pretty much the food he is able to take!

I looked it up on the internet and I read that it is only a one time thing and won't never come again! Unfortunately there's no medicine for it. We will just have to wait until it will go away by itself. Thank goodness it seems like it is going away! I can't wait for my baby to heal completely. I am just so happy to see him enjoy the weather outside! Thank you Lord for the beautiful weather outside!

Feels Like My Head Is About To Explode

I hate getting sick! I've been sick for 3 days now. Yesterday was the worst part, I just hate it when your nose won't stop dripping and the side of your nose gets really sore and dry when you keep wiping it. Glad that I'm over with that stage. My nose is still running but not as bad as yesterday but my head feels so heavy that it feels like it's about to explode!

It's not really hurting, it just feels like some pressure building. I didn't really take any medicine, I will just let nature heal me. I will be over it soon, I hope! Anyhow, I guess we won't be going to church tomorrow. I would not feel right going and get everybody sick. Hopefully I'll be over this by next Sunday...

Another Proud Moment Of My Life!

A week ago, we received a note from my first grader's teacher saying that my son will be getting an "All Star" award for doing so good in class. I know that my son is a very smart kid but I don't or never expected too much from him or pressuring him to study harder to get an award. I just always remind him to do his homework and to make sure that he is on the right track. So that note last week was somehow a surprise to me.

Anyhow, the award ceremony was held yesterday at their school gymnasium and it was indeed another proud moment of my life seeing my son receiving another award. Words cannot describe how proud I am of him and I made sure that he knows it too! I attached some pictures below of some photos that I took during the ceremony...

14 Months Old And Still Nursing

Weaning off my 14-month old son is way, way harder to do than I thought. He just turned 14 months old a week ago and yes he is still breastfeeding. Our (me and my husband) original plan was to wean him off when he gets teeth but since he didn't get teeth until after he turned a year old it took that long to start it. He is not willing to let go yet and not anytime soon either. Although he is a lot of solid foods, he is still wanting to nurse as much as he can get it.

It gets really inconvenience for all of us especially at night time. I've tried many time to wean him but it is just not working. And lately, he has not been sleeping good at night. He will only sleep about 30 minutes at the most. I just don't know what's going on but I am gonna have to try even harder to try to wean him off because I really don't want him to breastfeed until he turns two years old!

"Best Chicken You Have Ever Cooked"...

...are the words my mother-in-law told me after she tasted the whole baked chicken that I cooked yesterday for supper. I'm not trying to sound conceited, but it was really delicious. I cooked it for about 5 hours in a 200 degree temperature. When it came out, it was just so juicy and tender that when I lifted it to put in a serving dish, it actually fell apart.

As you can see in the picture, I cooked it with potatoes, carrots, mushroom and onions. It wasn't just me and my mother-in-law that enjoyed it but also my husband and two boys. I love it when my family enjoys the food that I work hard to prepare for them, don't you? ;)

Before And After

Yesterday I went to get a new haircut and had it highlighted. Obviously, above are the before and after pictures. Looking at these picture really surprised me that I had the guts to have my hair cut that short. Don't get me wrong, I don't have any regrets whatsoever. I feel so light after my hair was cut. It's like I've lost so much weight! I did not realize how heavy my hair was until it was cut.

Anyway, the best thing about cutting my hair was, the cut part will be donated to Locks of Love where they will use it to make wigs for cancer patients. I feel so good about it and I think I will do it all over again. It will take a while before my hair will grow back to how long it was but I will wait!

Why Toddlers Likes Noise?

This is my soon-to-be 14-month old son, pictures were just taken few  hours ago. As you can see, he is playing a Hershey's tin can tour bus in the pictures. This is an everyday sight in our house. Every time I put him down on the floor, he always go to the shelf where I had those Hershey's tin cans displayed and play starts playing with it. I used to not let him touch it but I got tired of chasing him around with it, so I just let him do whatever he wants to do with it. He usually plays with it on the table or use it for a hammer. I guess he likes the noise it makes. I don't know why todders, babies, kids love all that noise! One thing for sure, they can tolerate it better than adults!

14 Months Old In 3 Days

My youngest son is turning 14 months old in 3 days. Looking at these pictures and comparing it to some old pics made me realized how much he has grown. Why babies or kids grow up so fast these days? Comparing it to my oldest son when he was just baby, I don't recall him growing so fast like this. I guess time has really changed!

But anyhow, I am just so glad, happy, overjoyed that I am a stay-home mom and don't have to missed any moments of my kids growing up. Even though it is tough sometimes financially, but it is all worth it!

Boring Day!

What a boring and frustrating day for me today! I just want to scream on top of my lungs right now, I am so freaking bored and frustrated. The only thing good that happened today is that I cleaned the house. I woke up fine and had the energy to do some cleaning and everything seemed alright until this evening came. I am not even gonna talk about it, it just makes me even madder thinking about it. At least I got to get it out how I feel right now! GRRRRRR!

A Family Trip To The Gunshow

Yesterday was my very first time to be in a gunshow. I was never really interested going to one before, it just that yesterday was my stepdaughter's final day here in NC and had to take her to the airport and since the gunshow was just in front of the airport, my husband wanted to stop by and check out what they have. I'm telling you what, it was packed full yesterday! You can't hardly move around and it is was even harder that I was having to push my one year in his stroller.

Anyway, I didn't get to take pictures inside of the building, picture taking or filming wasn't permitted inside and I think I can understand why. But anyhow, I got to take some family pictures after we went in, not the family picture that I wanted but I thought it was good enough since we were in a hurry!

Great Deals From Walmart!

The best time to stock up on Christmas stuff is indeed when Christmas is over! It is so much cheaper an example of this are in the pictures above. Those are my haul from Walmart today. I only paid less than $25 for all that you see in the pictures. The ornaments alone in the second pic were originally selling for $39.99 but were on clearance for only $9.99! Now tell me if that's not a bargain?

I couldn't be any happier that I decided to stop by there, now I got some Christmas stuff for next year. There were many more stuff on clearance, if I just had the money to buy all of it, it would have been great. But then I'll have problem where to store them because my storage building is full! I am gonna have to pull some stuff there and get rid off it to make more room!
