The Kids Are The Glue That Bonds Us As Family

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Allstate. All opinions are 100% mine.
There's no questioning about it, our kids are the glue that bonds us as family! I have been married to my husband for over 8 years now. I got pregnant with our first child a few months after we got married. I tell you, our first few years of marriage weren't the greatest and I hate to admit that there were more bad memories than good. Those years were really tough for me. I was all by myself in this strange land, I was only 18 years old when I came here to America to marry my husband. We have a big age difference and that's one of the reasons why we were having such hard times with each other. It was hard for me to adjust because I was not fully matured! Every time we get into a big argument over something, I always wanted to leave but thanks to my first child, I didn't do such foolish thing for I did not want to leave him. I love him so much that I just couldn't live my life knowing that I abandoned my only child back then. I would be a very selfish mother if I have done it and this marriage would have not worked out and lasted this long if I had given up.

So today my husband and I are different people. All the changes happened when I got pregnant with my second child 2 years ago. I can tell that I am more mature now than I used to. My husband is more understanding than ever. Thanks to my kids for they are the reasons why we are still a family today! It is still not perfect but there's no such thing as perfect! But we are definitely happier now! One thing that I've learned from the past is that you just got to believe that there is always good awaiting when there is something bad. I mean not all the time, just like what the Allstate Good Life believed in that you don't have to wait for the bad things to happen in order for the good things to come. Just stay positive and optimistic!

A Beautiful Baby Girl!

My friend finally had her baby the other day and she is a healthy and beautiful baby girl! She weighed 7.94 lbs and about 19 inches long. We went to visit her yesterday and we got to see her beautiful baby, I got to hold her as well. It definitely brought back memories when I had my boys and it is also made me realized how much they have grown! My youngest son is about 18-months old and he look so gigantic beside the my friend's newborn! Oh how much I miss those days when they were just tiny babies like her!

A Foot Cream Is What She Needs

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Tree Hut. All opinions are 100% mine.
My mom have always had an issue of her feet being dry especially her heels. It stays so dry all the time that it has so much cracks on it. I remember her complaining about it sometimes that it is kinda painful which I am sure it was the way it was cracked. Nothing has changed, it is still pretty much the same and no matter how much lotion she puts on it, it is just not working!

Anyway, I am planning on sending them another package before this year ends. So I have been trying to hunt for a foot cream that I can include in the package for my mother so she can use it on her heels. Upon browsing the internet, I came across this Tree Hut foot cream which appears to have the best natural ingredients compare to other foot creams that I already checked. This foot cream has a certified organic shea butter which promotes skin repairing & moisturizing, Argan Oil and Rose Hip Oil which is a natural anti-aging properties. This could be the cream that could fix my mom's heels. This is really worth trying for! And this cream is also made in the USA!

With the help of social medias, I can like Tree Hut on Facebook and follow Tree Hut on Twitter so I can get updates from them of their latest products! If you are interested, you too can like them on facebook and follow them on twitter!

Kitchen Was Flooded

I have been washing clothes all day and I am not even done yet! The last load is in the washer right now and I am gonna have to run another cycle to wash it really good because I used those dirty clothes to dry our kitchen floor that got flooded a while ago. Somehow, the drain tube got pulled out who knows why or how but me and husband heard a weird noise that sounded like the washer was running a fast water which was very unusual I thought because our washer never run water that fast.

Anyway, I told my husband to check it out for I was worried that it was our washer overflowing or something and instead, he asked my son to go check the washer if it's open or overflowing, so the son checked it out and said it was closed and nothing seemed to be out of order. Well, a few minutes later, I asked my son to get his brother's milk in the fridge and said that there was a bunch of water on kitchen floor. I did not really worry about it, I thought it was just a little water got spilled on the floor.

But sure enough when I went to the kitchen, almost the whole floor was flooded! I mean it's not just wet, it was FLOODED! My husband checked if it was the washer, evidently, the tube for the drain of the washer was pulled out and the rinse water got drained inside! Talking about frustrated! More work for me to do when I was already struggling with a bunch of stuff! But thank goodness I managed to dry the kitchen floor using the dirty clothes to soak the water. It even got onto our bedroom carpet, it was soaking wet! But I got most of the water out! Now I am really exhausted! That's the second time we got flooded inside! Thank goodness there was no serious damage!

Going To The Pool As An Award For Getting Perfect Attendance

My  first grader and a few of his classmates will be going to the pool next Wednesday as an award for getting a perfect attendance in their 4th nine weeks of this school year! I am really thrilled about this. This is the first time he ever perfected his attendance in school. The first 3 semesters he'd missed  several days due to some health issues. I am just so glad that this last semester he didn't get sick at all and got a perfect attendance finally!

Anyhow, while me and my husband were running for some errands today, he dropped me at the thrift store and I got to pick out a swimming trunks for him to be worn next week. His swimming trunks is a little too small for him now, so I decided to find him one while I was there. I really don't mind my kids or me wearing hands down or used clothing from thrift stores or yard sales. I think it is a lot smarter to do it that way since they outgrow the clothes very fast and in my opinion it is really a waste of money when you buy a brand new ones and won't be able to wear it for a long time.

But I've known some people who are very picky when it comes to wearing used clothes. Well, everybody is different and they have their own reasons as to why they choose to be that way. As for me, I just feel like that I don't have the right to be choosy based on where I came from, a 3rd world country like the Philippines, one of the poorest country you can think of. But then again, everybody is entitled to their rights! And if they choose to be picky of what kind of clothes to put on, then let them be! It's really none of my business! LOL! As long as my family don't mind it, then it's all good. But for the record, I do buy my kids brand new clothes. My point is that I don't really care if the clothes is brand new or used, the main thing for me is that they are clean before my kids wear them! PERIOD!

Our Short Trip To The Zoo

I am so glad that I was able to chaperoned my first grader to the zoo last Friday. His class had a field trip at Greenville Zoo in South Carolina. It is almost two hours drive one way from where we live, so it was a very long and exhausting ride. Unfortunately for my mother-in-law, she was the designated driver after my husband changed his at the very last minute. He just didn't know what he had missed at the zoo!

Even though it was a very exhausting trip, my boys and I had so much fun. We had so much fun seeing all kinds of animal both domestic and wild ones. What I wanted to see most were the Lions, Giraffes, Elephants, those wild animals that I've only seen on TV and thanks to that trip for I got to see them in person and I am telling you what they were sure beautiful!

Anyway, below I am sharing some of the shots of wild animals that I took at the zoo. I had fun taking pictures of all of them! It was our first time to be there and hopefully it won't be the last time. The long trip was all worth it seeing all these beautiful creatures!
African Elephant

These turtles are humungous! I have never seen a turtle this big before!

Mama and baby Giraffes! They were truly beautiful!

...lastly, the king of the jungle! So big and scary but yet beautiful!!!

Excited For Tomorrow!

{image from Greeville Zoo's website}
I am getting so excited for tomorrow's field trip, probably more excited than anybody in this household. It will be my first time to be in a real zoo where wild animals such as Lion, Giraffe, Elephant can be seen. I am also excited for both of my boys because it will be there first time as well. I am just glad that my son's class decided to go onto this field trip. We will probably never get to go to the zoo again after this, not unless if we really plan on it!

Anyway, I got everything ready. Ipod is charging, my DSLR's battery is charging right now. No matter what, I cannot let myself to forget my camera because I want to take advantage of this moment and take snapshots of those wild animals! Oh gosh, I can't hardly wait!

Vipre Internet Security Is An Excellent Choice For PC Protection

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Vipre. All opinions are 100% mine.

I was given a chance to try out this VIPRE Internet Security and I must say that it is so much different from the ones that I used before. What I like most about it is, it is so easy to use, very user-friendly unlike the ones that I was using before which was very complicated the first time I used it. I have been having problems with my computer lately. I knew it has kind of malware or virus but when I used my other internet security scanners, it didn't detect anything. My computer has been so agonizingly slow! After I had downloaded the Vipre Internet Security and scanned my computer using a quick scan, it didn't take long before it showed that there was indeed a malware on my computer that is causing it to slow down. I've noticed immediately after I had scanned my pc that the perfomance is a lot better than it was!

Before I forget to mention that Vipre Internet Security is one of the best antivirus softwares in the market today because of it's award-winning software that includes a firewall, a spam filter and website blocking into one powerful solution for complete protection against malware. Have you notice how your computer would slow down when you are scanning it? Vipre won't do that to your computer at all. You wouldn't notice anything when this software is running in the background even when it is updating!

Anyway, you don't have to take my words for it. If you want to see it for yourself, you can download a free trial version at vipreantivirus.com. Downloading and installing is as easy as 1 2 3!
