Satin Bedding Sheet Set For $5

Every time I go to Walmart, I never miss to check out their clearance section to see what good deal I can find there. Not all the time I can see some good stuff. I mean there are things that are really mark down for a very good price but if it's something that we don't really need, I don't see the point of wasting my money on it.

Anyway, I went to Walmart yesterday and rest assured, the first thing that I did was to check out their clearance section. I could never believed with my eyes when I saw this Satin Bedding Sheet Set in Leopard-print marked down for $5! I have been wanting to buy an animal-print bedding set but I wasn't willing to pay over $20 for it! But there it was, just the perfect price for me! The set includes a full size fitted sheet, top sheet and two pillow cases! To me, that is a good find! I have never seen a bed set marked down that low! Even the sales attendant thought it was a good deal. Lucky me, they only had the full-size available which is the size of our bed!

I know that Satin material is not ideal for winter but it will be perfect for next summer! But I still put it on our bed as soon as I got home. Our bed sheets needed changing anyway. I love how it looks and the fact that I only paid $5 for it makes it even better to lay down on it! LOL!

4th Year Death Anniversary

Today is my brother's 4th year death anniversary. Although he passed away 4 years ago, I am still deeply saddened by the fact! Losing someone you love is truly hard to cope with and even though the wound is heal, the pain is still there. I don't think it will ever go away especially if you are somewhat guilty of what had happened!

I know that it is not my fault that he is dead but it is always on the back of my head if I had something to do with it? Until to this day, that question remains! I was the last one who he talked to on the phone and we had been arguing. It wasn't the first time and it wasn't worst the one either. Growing up with 5 siblings was not all the fun at all. We fought and argued with each other, there had been times that our verbal fights turned to physical fights. Yes, that's how bad it was for us back then! But even though there were so many bad memories, I love all my siblings with all my heart! That's why, I feel guilty, what if that argument that we had, had something to do with his death?

I might never know the truth behind his death but I can only hope that one day I will find out what truly happened! And I pray to GOD that wherever he is, I hope he is in peace. He maybe be gone but will never be forgotten and same goes to my PAPA!

Five Commonly Asked Questions about Dental Health

As an adult, you know that you should brush your teeth twice a day, floss daily, and visit the dentist regularly. These are the things that are taught to children and are tidbits of advice given by dental clinics such as Drake Dentistry. However, when it comes to oral health, there are many little things that we can do to help our gums and teeth remain strong. Following are five commonly asked questions about dental health that go beyond the basics:

What does baking soda do?
Do electric toothbrushes make a difference or are they just hype?
Do fluoride treatments help adults?
Do antiseptic rinses help?
How often do I really need to visit the dentist?

Baking Soda

For many years, individuals have brushed their teeth with baking soda. But does it really do any good? The answer is yes. Baking soda is a base element, and bacteria grow in a more acidic environment. When you brush your teeth with it, or with toothpaste made out of baking soda, it neutralizes the acid in your mouth.

Electric Toothbrushes

Electric toothbrushes really are helpful, as the following story illustrates. A man always had bleeding gums when he visited the dentist. The clinic expressed concern and told him that he might be getting periodontal disease. He started using an electric toothbrush about three months before his next checkup. When he went back in, the problem with bleeding gums had stopped. The high vibration on the electric toothbrush massaged his gums, stimulated healthy blood flow, and restored the gums to good health.

Fluoride Treatments

Topical fluoride treatments are always beneficial regardless of your age. Ingesting fluoride, either through drops or drinking it in the water, is only helpful for children while their bones and teeth are forming. It does not benefit adults.

Antiseptic Rinses

Antiseptic rinses do help kill the bacteria in your mouth, thus helping prevent cavities.

Frequency of Dental Visits

In June of 2013, the American Dental Association made some recommendations about how often you should visit a dental clinic. They said that if you have problems or are at risk for oral health problems, you should visit a clinic such as Drake Dentistry twice a year. If are not at risk, then going to the dentist once a year is sufficient.

Fun At The Fair!

Our trip to the State Fair last Friday was a blast! The whole family went, including my mother-in-law! I was truly impressed of her (mother-in-law) because in spite of the fact that she is on oxygen and carrying a tank, she rode some of the rides that I have never thought she would ever ride! I am not talking about the kiddy rides, I mean she rode two of those gut-wrenching rides like the Scrambler and Pirate Ship! Below are the proofs!
My mother-in-law and oldest son on the Scrambler ride!

My mother-in-law and I on a Pirate Ship ride...
The first picture although it seems like it's not much, well trust me, it is much! I didn't even have the guts to ride on it because I am pretty sure that if I had rode on it, I would have thrown up! That thing was spinning so fast and looks like it will throw you out anytime! The second ride was the Pirate Ship ride. I rode on it last year and thought that it would be fun to do it again! Well, it was fun alright but won't be doing it again in the future! I guess I do not have that much guts anymore like I used to have for I got really scared on the Pirate Ship ride this time! I was screaming the whole time while my mother-in-law was so calm!

Now for a woman who is almost 70 years old and on oxygen, that is pretty hardcore and impressive right there! I cannot get over that she really rode on those rides! LOL!

Anyhow, I must admit that trip to the Fair was exhausting, it involved a lot of walking, but it was all worth it for we had so much fun especially the boys! More pictures of the trip below..

Just got in! Ready to have some fun!

My youngest son and I on the Caterpillar ride, this was his first ride!

My oldest son on a bungy jump! He had so much fun on this and wanted to do it again but it cost $7!

The Flying Circus ride! My oldest son had to ride it three times, that's how much he loved that ride!

State Fair Trip Was Postponed!

{photo not  mine!}
We were supposed to go to the State Fair yesterday but all of the sudden it started raining hard! The State Fair is over an drive from where we live. We looked at the weather radar to see where the storm was heading and unfortunately, it was heading towards where we were going. So, as much as we hated it, we didn't have any choice but to postponed the trip to Friday!

We looked at the weather forecast for today and it is about 40% chance of raining. Friday has the least chance which is only 20%. So we are hoping that it will be a good day tomorrow to go to the State Fair for I really want to go and I want my youngest son to experience who fun it is at the fair. It will be his first time. I can't wait to see the look on his face once he sees all the beautiful and color rides and stuff that's in there! I too, am very excited to ride some of the rides and have some turkey leg and funnel cake! Yum! Yum!

Organizing Their Bedroom!

{image not mine!}
I have this plan for a while now of organizing my kid's bedroom. I want to get rid off some bulky toys that they are not really using anymore and replace it with perhaps a drawer for my youngest son's clothes. I also want to buy an over-the-door shoe organizer to hang on their closet door so I can organize their shoes and put more storage in the closet.

I have everything laid out and planned, it is just a matter of buying the needed organizer and storage and getting rid off the stuff that needs to go. I am excited of doing this, I know for sure, when I get this done, their bedroom will feel a whole lot bigger!

Garbage Are Gone Finally!

I feel so relieved that the garbage that's been piling for almost a month outside are finally dumped where they belong, at the DUMPSTER! I just hate seeing our yard looking like it was for how many weeks. We do not have a garbage disposal service where we live for we live way out in the country and I believe that garbage disposal service is only available in the city. So me and my mother-in-law goes to the dump every two weeks to throw our garbage.

There are times that we couldn't go to the dump on schedule due to some things that are beyond our control like when it's raining or me or my mother-in-law don't feel too good to go! But when it piles like it did for how many weeks, I make so much effort to get rid off it no matter what because I do not like to see our backyard looking like nobody cares! Thank goodness, I don't have to see it whenever I go out to the backyard!
