Turn Those Frozen Foods Into Gourmet Meals!

Since I am a stay at home mom, I have all the time to fix my family fresh home-cooked meals! We are not very big into eating out or eating frozen foods, but it doesn't mean we do not eat out or buy it. We eat out when we are going somewhere and no time to fix food at home. Sometimes, I keep frozen foods in stock for convenience for there are days when I feel too tired to cook. Being a stay at home mom is a full time job especially when you have two kids to take care of, not to mention the household work that needs to be done!

 

Anyhow, eating frozen foods can get boring at times. There had been times that I wished that I could have done something differently to the frozen meals that I'd fixed but I just didn't know how. But now, thanks to Make It Your Michelina’s for I found some great recipes that can turn those frozen foods into gourmet meals! What I love most about these recipes is how simple it is to make! The top 3 recipes that I would really love to try are pictured and listed below...

Lettuce Wraps

Ingredients:

Cook Time:

  • 7-10 minutes

Preparation:

  • Tear iceberg lettuce leaves carefully to retain original shape
  • Trim leaves for perfect bowl shape
  • Open the corner of the Michelina’s Chicken Fried Rice box and place in the microwave
  • Microwave on HIGH for 2 minutes
  • Stir entrĂ©e and microwave for an additional 1-2 minutes
  • Scoop Michelina’s Chicken Fried Rice into prepared lettuce wraps
  • Optional: Drizzle prepared wraps with soy sauce or add sriracha sauce to add some heat
  • Serve and enjoy!

Franks 'n' Cheese

Ingredients:

Cook time:

  • 3-5 minutes

Preparation: 

  • Open the corner of the Michelina’s Macaroni & Cheese box and place in the microwave
  • Microwave on HIGH for 2 minutes
  • Stir the noodles and cheese together microwave the meal for another 1-2 minutes
  • Broil or microwave hot dog to taste
  • Slice up the cooked hot dog into small slices
  • Mix the sliced hot dog and Michelina’s Macaroni & Cheese together and serve
